Ticket Defender Privacy Policy
This policy explains how BakerApps ("we," "us") handles information when you use the Ticket Defender Android app (also displayed as "TicketDefender"). It describes the current app build; we will update it before adding materially different data practices.
Information the app handles
- Account information: If you register or sign in, your email address, account identifier, display name, and optional phone number. Firebase Authentication handles your password or Google sign-in credentials; BakerApps does not receive your Google password. Guest sign-in uses a Firebase anonymous account identifier.
- Ticket and case information: Ticket photos you take or select; extracted or manually entered citation details such as citation number, violation, court, date, location, officer, and alleged speed; incident answers, notes, drafts, messages, and analysis results you create in the app. Ticket photos can contain other personal information visible on the citation.
- Optional profile image: An avatar you choose is copied into the app's private storage on your device.
- Basic technical data: Google Play, Firebase, and Google's AI service may process device, network, request, and diagnostic data needed to deliver their services, subject to their own policies. The current app does not include an advertising or third-party analytics SDK.
How information is used and where it goes
We use account information to sign you in and maintain your profile. The app stores case records and app preferences locally so you can organize and review a citation. When you choose a real ticket photo for automated extraction, the app sends a resized copy of that photo to Google's Gemini API over HTTPS. Google processes it to return ticket fields for you to verify. The sample ticket uses local demonstration data instead.
The current AI review and subscription screens use demonstration data and local mock entitlement logic. The current build does not submit case records to a BakerApps case-sync server, complete a paid subscription purchase, or automatically send your case to an attorney. We will update this policy when those features become operational.
Service providers and sharing
Google Firebase Authentication processes sign-in and account identifiers; Google's Gemini API processes ticket photos that you choose to analyze; and Google Play distributes the app. Their handling of data is also governed by their applicable terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information, share it with data brokers, or use it for targeted advertising. If a future version enables actual attorney sharing, it will require a user-initiated action and an updated disclosure before case material is sent.
Visits to this policy page
This web page is hosted by GoDaddy. The host may process your IP address, browser and request information, and performance data when you visit the page. The host currently adds a performance-monitoring script to the served page. This website processing is separate from Ticket Defender's Android app. See GoDaddy's privacy notice for details and available choices.
Camera and photo access
Camera access is requested only if you choose to photograph a ticket. You may instead choose an image using Android's photo picker. The app copies selected or captured ticket images into its private cache to perform extraction and display your case. You can deny or revoke camera permission in Android settings; the sample-ticket path remains available without taking a photo.
Storage, security, and retention
Case records, ticket image references, profile images, and preferences are held in the app's private storage on your device. Android app backups are disabled for Ticket Defender. Connections used for Firebase sign-in and Gemini processing use encrypted transport. No storage or transmission method is guaranteed to be completely secure.
Local records remain until you remove them in the app where that control is available, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Cached ticket photo copies may remain until Android clears the cache or app storage is cleared. Firebase may retain account data while your account exists and for any period required by its service, security, or legal obligations. We do not set an arbitrary fixed retention period for data held by Google.
Your choices and deletion requests
You can choose whether to create an account, use a ticket photo, provide optional profile information, or grant camera access. You can sign out in the app. To remove all local Ticket Defender data, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall it; signing out alone does not necessarily remove locally stored cases.
To request deletion of your Firebase account and associated information, or to ask about access or correction, email bakerapps82@gmail.com. Include the email address used in the app, but do not send passwords or ticket photos in your first message. We may need to verify ownership before acting. Clearing local app data is a separate device action. We will respond to privacy requests and delete information we control, subject to applicable legal or security retention requirements.
Children
Ticket Defender is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes to this policy
If the app's features or data practices change, we will revise this page and update the date above. Material changes may also be explained in the app or release notes.
