This Privacy Policy explains how Velora ("Velora", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Velora mobile application (the "App"). Velora is an AI companion and entertainment app. The companions in the App are fictional AI characters, not real people.

Velora is for adults only. The App is intended solely for users who are 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you are under 21, do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

Velora uses Google Sign-In (through Firebase Authentication) to create your account. When you sign in, we receive from Google a unique account identifier, your email address, and basic profile details (such as your display name and profile image) associated with the Google account you choose.

Information you provide

Profile and preference details you enter during onboarding (such as your name or nickname, interests, and companion preferences).
Companions you create or customize, and the settings you choose for them.
Messages and conversations you exchange with AI companions.
Content you generate in the App, such as companion photos, scenes, and voice messages.

Information generated through use

Your relationship ("bond") progress, level, and activity within the App.
Your in-app credit balance, rewards, and purchase/entitlement status.
Profiles you hide, and conversations you delete, so the App can honor those choices.
A device notification token, if you enable push notifications, so we can deliver reminders and re-engagement messages.

Technical information

Like most apps, we and our service providers may process technical data needed to operate the service reliably and securely — for example, device and app version information and diagnostic/crash data provided through Google Firebase.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and maintain your account and sync it across your devices.
To provide the App's core features: companions, chats, generated photos and voice, bond progression, and the in-app economy.
To generate AI responses, images, and voice based on the input and preferences you provide.
To send notifications you have opted into, including reminders and re-engagement messages.
To process subscriptions and other purchases and manage your access to paid features.
To maintain safety, prevent abuse, debug problems, and improve the App.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. AI Content Processing & Third-Party Services

To deliver AI features, the content and prompts you provide (such as chat messages, companion attributes, and image or voice requests) are processed by trusted third-party service providers acting on our behalf. These may include:

Google Firebase — authentication, database (Cloud Firestore), storage, cloud functions, and messaging.
AI text, image, and voice providers — used to generate companion conversations, photos, scenes, and voice messages.
Google Play Billing — to process subscriptions and in-app purchases (we do not receive or store your full payment card details).

These providers process your data only as needed to perform their services for Velora. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your account, profile, conversations, and generated content are associated with your signed-in account and stored using Google Firebase. Companion photos and other generated media stay within your account unless you choose to save them to your device or share them. Your data may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country.

5. Data Retention & Your Choices

Delete conversations: You can delete individual chats and their saved message history from within the App.
Manage visibility: You can hide and restore profiles at any time.
Notifications: You can turn push notifications off in the App or in your device settings.
Account deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below. We will delete or anonymize your data unless we are required to retain it for legal reasons.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App, and thereafter only as required for legitimate business or legal purposes.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including the security infrastructure provided by Google Firebase, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Velora is an adults-only (21+) service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 21, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us.

8. Not a Substitute for Professional Support

Velora is provided for entertainment and companionship. AI companions are not real people and are not a substitute for professional medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis or in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or a qualified crisis resource.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Child Safety Standards

Velora prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Read our Child Safety Standards or report a child-safety concern using the contact below.
